On September 10, 2026, in the intelligent manufacturing workshop for steel structures of China Railway Shanhaiguan Bridge (Nantong) Co., Ltd. located in Changjiang Town, Rugao City, all nine intelligent welding robots were put into operation, focusing on the welding of main bridge plate units for the Zhangjinggao Yangtze River Bridge. To ensure the smooth construction of the Zhangjinggao Yangtze River Bridge, the largest span bridge currently under construction, China Railway Shanhaiguan Bridge (Nantong) Co., Ltd., which is responsible for the manufacturing of the main bridge steel beams, introduced five portable intelligent welding robots and four mobile L-rib groove welding robots, significantly improving the efficiency of welding operations. It is understood that these welding robots integrate technologies such as 3D visual teaching-free and servo motor rack drive, enabling them to autonomously plan paths and complete welding under complex working conditions.
