Product Introduction

The Bag Palletizing Robot automatically picks filled bags from an infeed conveyor and precisely places them onto pallets according to pre-programmed stacking patterns.

Designed for heavy-duty end-of-line packaging, this system delivers continuous, high-consistency palletizing across dry bulk industries-including cement, fertilizer, animal feed, grain, flour, chemicals, and plastic resins. It can be supplied as a standalone robotic cell or fully integrated into complete packaging lines featuring bag conveyors, empty pallet dispensers, full-pallet discharge conveyors, and stretch wrapping systems.

Key Industrial Benefits

Eliminates Heavy Manual Labor: Fully automates the lifting of 25–50 kg sacks, dramatically reducing workplace injuries and fatigue.
Consistent & Neat Stacking: Computerized placement maintains tight tolerances and uniform pallet footprints for optimum trailer loading.
Predictable & Continuous Output: Operates continuously at target production rates, eliminating human downtime or variable shift speeds.
Flexible Multi-Recipe Storage: Rapid changeover between different bag sizes and stacking profiles directly via the HMI touchscreen.

Seamless Automation Expansion: Easily connects with upstream checkweighers, rejection conveyors, automatic pallet dispensers, and stretch wrappers.

Industry Applications

Fertilizer Plants: High-durability corrosion-resistant components designed for continuous 50 kg PP woven bag palletizing.
Cement & Building Materials: Heavy-duty dust-sealed setups capable of handling heavy, dense valve bags under rugged conditions.
Animal Feed & Grain Facilities: Flexible gripping options for varying bag fills, soft shapes, and multi-product packaging lines.
Chemicals & Plastics: High-precision stackers handling plastic resin bags or fine powder containers requiring uniform pallet stability.

Operational Workflow

Bag Infeed & Separation: Sealed or sewn bags move from upstream processing onto the palletizing infeed conveyor, which regulates product spacing and flow.
Bag Positioning: Integrated guide rails, stops, or orientation conveyors square each bag to ensure accurate pick alignment.
Robotic Picking: The robot positions its End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT/Gripper) over the bag, securing it safely based on material and weight dynamics.
Transfer & Stacking: Guided by the robot controller, the arm lifts and transfers the bag onto the pallet, laying each unit per the defined pattern.
Layer Formation: Bags are placed systematically until a layer is completed. The layer configuration varies by bag footprint and pallet dimensions.
Full Pallet Discharge: Once target pallet height is reached, the finished pallet is transferred downstream via powered roller/chain conveyors to optional stretch wrappers or stretch hooders.

End-of-Arm Tooling/ Gripper Options

Mechanical Clamp Gripper: Ideal for PP woven bags, kraft bags, and heavy industrial sacks. Bottom-support finger mechanisms ensure safe transport without risking bag tears.
Vacuum-Assisted Gripper: Recommended for smooth, non-porous bag surfaces (PE or heavy film bags) under dust-controlled conditions.
Combined / Hybrid Gripper: Merges mechanical gripping with top vacuum cups to provide maximum stability for bulky, shifting, or loosely filled dry bulk bags.
Customized EOAT: Specialized designs engineered for multi-bag picking per cycle, dusty industrial environments, or specialized pallet setups.

Palletizing Patterns

Parallel Pattern: Bags aligned uniformly. Best suited for uniform bags where layer overlap is not strictly needed.
Cross Pattern: Bag direction alternates 90 degrees between layers to tie adjacent bags together and enhance stack integrity.
Interlocking Pattern: Overlapping layout designed to prevent individual bag shifting or sliding during forklift movement and transit.
Custom Recipes: Fully customizable stacking sequences tailored for non-standard bag shapes, bag flattener output, and variable layer counts.

Customization Data

To generate a precise technical proposal and cycle time simulation, please prepare the following details:
Bag Parameters: Material type, filled bag dimensions (Length x Width x Height), filled weight range, bag surface condition (smooth/dusty/loose).
Production Requirements: Required throughput (bags/hour), working shift duration, number of product variations.
Pallet Specifications: Pallet dimensions, maximum stacking height limit, preferred layer layout.
Plant Site Conditions: Floor layout/drawings, ceiling height, conveyor infeed elevation, electrical voltage/frequency standards.

FAQ

Q: Can one robot arm handle different bag sizes and weights on the same line?

A: Yes. The robot controller stores multiple product recipes. When switching products, operators simply select the corresponding recipe on the HMI. If bag sizes vary significantly, a universal or adjustable gripper is configured.

Q: How do you handle dusty environments like cement or powder packaging?

A: We equip the robot cell with IP65-rated arm protection, dust-sealed pneumatic components, enclosed cable management, and heavy-duty dust-proof bearings.

Q: What is the estimated lead time for a turnkey palletizing cell?

A: Standard robotic palletizing cells typically require 6 to 8 weeks for manufacturing, engineering customization, and pre-shipment factory testing.

Q: Can this robotic cell connect to our existing filling line?

A: Yes. We design custom infeed conveyors and control interfaces to seamlessly integrate with your existing bag filling and closing line.
